"Australia The Lucky Country"

The People, The Diversity, The Community,

United we Share our Ideas, Our Skillset, Our Resources

Birthing Community Owned Enterprises

Hi,
Today the 26th of May 2020, more than ever before humanity and business owners are facing adversity, challenges, changes and chances to renew our state of economic well-being. Many of us arrived from different countries, with different religions, with different dreams yet we all call Australia "Home" and as Donald Horne book title says "The Lucky Country"

"are we really that Lucky?"

Lucky? I don't think we would all give the same answer, yet I do think and know that we can all create our own luck. Being lucky, has a different meaning for many of us but one word comes to mind and that is "Harmony". Yes, life is like music, we strive to stay in tune with life, we strive to compete, we strive for fulfillment, we strive to be recognised, we strive to be accepted. Although all that we strive for has caused division, weak foundations, striving has seperated many of us, striving caused relationships to fall apart, striving caused humanity to become individualistic, striving caused business to fail (burnout), striving has caused us to be experiencing what we face today!  We have forgotten to "Strive for Common Communal Good"

"could a pandemic change the heart set of humanity?"

Many great initiatives are born during times of Change and Chance! Today we have been "Thankfully" forced to sit back, many business even closed down (temporary), question Why we do What we do. Also during these times, many will not survive, many will not be able to renew, find the support or have the energy to keep going.

"what should we do???"

The first 3 steps I encourage all to do;
1. Be grateful to be living in this Lucky Country Australia.
2. Come together and ask ourselves "What have I/we learned or are learning from today's economic climate?"
3. What can we do different as people, as a community, as an entrepreneur, as a business owner to "Live in and thrive in Harmony?"

A Global Movement
We are at the early stages of one of the most important trends of our lifetime: the growing global movement of people using business as a force for good. This movement is everywhere and has many leaders throughout the world. Some are small businesses; some are multinationals. Some use business to reduce poverty; some to restore the environment. All are creating meaningful work with dignity and purpose.
